Our Maree Oranmore FC U16/U17 Girls were all set for the trip of a lifetime to London on the 21st March – training at the West Ham Academy, taking in the sights of the city, and cheering on Katie McCabe and the Arsenal Women at the Emirates Stadium.

Unfortunately, due to the fire and resulting closure of Heathrow Airport, their flight was grounded in Shannon and the entire trip had to be postponed at the last minute.

The girls were devastated – but they’ve bounced back with incredible positivity. Now they’re launching a fundraising campaign to help recover the costs from the postponed trip and ensure they get to make it happen at the start of next season.
