Irish Cup

The u14 Boys had to work extremely hard on Saturday against Co Mayo club Ballyheane and it took a second half finish from Ryan Mill to separate the sides. No joy for the u12a  boys side in the sfai u12 Norton Cup who  went down  to Ballina Utd away on a 5-2 scoreline with Jack Leahy netting a brace in the North Mayo Town on Saturday last.

Galway Cup

In local Cup action the u12 girls had a good 3-0 win the u12 Div 1 cup against visitors Knocknacarra fc with the goals coming from Grace Anespie, Katie Costello and Hannah Furey. A depleted u16 Girls side unfortunately went down 2-1 in Oranmore to Knocknacarra fc in the u16 girls Cup with Aisling Quinn netting in a very close game.

League Action

The u12 Div 1 side had a fine 3-1 win against Mervue in Fahys Field with Cillian Costello notching a brace and John Smith also netting in an excellent team performance. The u12 championship side had a super 6-1 win at home also to Mervue with Caelan Coleman getting three, Cian Quirke(2) and Luke Hanniffy getting on the scoresheet and great leadership shown by captain, the excellent Kieran Watterson. Not to be outdone the u12 div 2 side travelled to Drom and came away with a 2-0 win against Salthill Devon with Brian Carroll netting two.

The u11 Development League continued in Maree on Sunday last with a series of competitive games against visitors Kiltullagh Pioneers.

The u14 Division 2 boys side had a comfortable win against a depleted St Bernards Utd side with Aidan Allan and Alex Roberts doing very well and Maxime Ludjanakov getting a hat trick for Tom Reddingtons charges. The u16 Premier boys moved to the top of the table with a fine home win against visitors Knocknacarra fc in a much closer game than the 5-1 result suggests with a hat trick from Gavin Smyth and goals from Conal Doyle and Daniel Carr.
